Sugar HOuse 2

This project features bulb heavy, grassy meadows in both front and back yards. Showy, giant flowering allium provide structure along the back fence while shorter, firework like allium decorate the flowing mass of uncut grass. The meadows allow the homeowners to reduce time and money spent mowing and fertilizing while creating a safe haven for wildlife. This garden features a reduced maintenance schedule; only needing spent bulb foliage removal in late spring and a hard cutback in late fall. The front meadow includes a mix of white flowered bulbs providing color and interest from early spring into summer. Edible, fruit bearing plants are sprinkled throughout the front yard to provide a foraging opportunity for adults and children.
