About the Designer
I am a garden designer with 19 years of experience. I have worked as a landscaper, private gardener, botanical garden horticulturist, nature preserve supervisor and have spent the last 15 years working and designing at botanical gardens. I have been practicing residential and commercial design and consultation in the Western US for the last 15 years with an emphasis on low water landscapes, culinary and succulent gardens, living museum exhibits and meadows. My passion for sourcing unique and uncommon plants provides clients with sublime gardens and landscapes.
Water Conservation
There is an urgent need to conserve water in the arid west. Residential landscapes and gardens account for roughly 70% of household water use. With proper, thoughtful plant selection and design, home gardens can reduce their water use by up to 75%. Gardens with low water needs can be as or more beautiful than conventional landscapes while saving water and creating wildlife habitat. If you are interested in renovating your landscape to reduce water use and increase the visual appeal of your property please contact me.
