The process:

-Initial Consultation:
After an initial introduction or contact through my webform, I will meet you at the site of your future garden or landscape. We will discuss your goals and desires for the garden or landscape, and I will suggest a few broad themes and potential general design directions. Once we’ve agreed on a rough idea for the garden, I will get started on a rough design draft. There is an initial consultation fee of $150 for the first site visit.

 -Initial Draft
Once the initial draft begins to come together and I’ve selected some of the plants and assembled a rough layout for the project we’ll meet again to ensure with are on the same page and the plan is meeting your needs and expectations. I’ll describe the planting and irrigation plans as we look over the space to give you a good idea of what to expect. I’ll provide an estimate for the design and a down payment of ½ the design fee is due before I begin a final draft.

-Final Draft Delivery
I will provide you with a plant list, a final draft of the planting plan, irrigation design and hardscape for your new landscape or garden, either hand drawn or digitally drafted, whichever you prefer.  Final design payment will be due upon delivery.

-Plant sourcing and installation coordination

I can source and deliver all the plants for your project and lay them out for you or your landscaper to plant. A deposit or full payment for the plants may be required prior to ordering. I often use tried and true landscapers to implement my garden projects and am happy to work with anyone company to ensure the plants are correctly placed and installed. Some clients have

organized planting parties and I am available to provide any amount of assistance required, from leading the work party to following up on the work to ensure quality control.

 -Cost
Design and material costs vary significantly. I can provide a rough estimate when an initial draft is complete (see above).
